I did my best to ease her into it, we put some music on, she had a friend present, we had some chit chat going constantly, I showed her the pictures as we went through it, gave her a lot of positive feedback, but it was a tedious shoot. But on the day of the shoot it was the opposite, she was very shy, uncomfortable, almost like the facade had completely dropped. I was expecting a great shoot because A has a strong personnality, very outgoing, often being the center of attention etc.
We planned some stuff we wanted to do, she seemed eager, I didn't have to push for anything and she already told me prior that discussion that she loves my pictures.
Recently I've had two shootings just days apart that illustrate my problem, so let me talk about them a bit:įirst shooting was with A. I don't work with professionnal models or for brands, I'm just doing sessions with friends for fun, and for me to get some practice in the studio. So like I said in the title, I'm an amateur photographer.
